The Clubhouse, Hox Haus

When Manchester-based architects and designers 74 completed the major project of extending and remodeling a Grade-II listed, two-story Victorian brick building, Amtico Signature was chosen to add texture and an understated elegance to the multipurpose venue.

Hox Park is a mixed use, master-planned development for students attending Royal Holloway, University of London. Manchester-based architects and designers 74 sought to extend and redesign an existing Grade-II listed, two-story Victorian brick building containing a variety of multifunctional spaces for studying and socializing. The repurposed building, Hox Haus, needed to serve as the central focus, clubhouse and social amenity for the Hox Park student campus.

As a durable option ideal for high traffic areas, LVT from the Amtico Signature Collection was chosen to add distinctive patterns and stunning detail as well as high performance. Ink Wash Wood was used throughout the Clubhouse, linking the finishes between the first and ground floors, including the internal stair treads. To create zones within the space, the Basket Weave Signature Layout was laid in neutral Woods and a bright Abstract color to provide the grounding for a games area. The lighter, natural grain of Nomad Oak was chosen to complement the Ink Wash Wood in the quiet study area of the first floor Gatehouse extension

  • Amtico Signature LVT features a 2.5 mm thickness and 1 mm wear layer, combining sophisticated designs with high performance
  • Signature Layouts and ease of customization allow unique patterning and visuals for creating distinctive spaces
  1. LVT with Quantum Guard® technology offers superior durability and ease of cleaning

"We developed a series of environments for individuals and groups to harmoniously work, meet, study, relax and have fun. Aesthetic elegance, combined with the hard-wearing longevity of LVT, was ideal for a heavy traffic environment."
